Mel Gibson Drunken Lout

I’ve not kept track of Gibson’s exploits, but a recent comment on an earlier post Mel Gibson For President peeked my interest (should I delete that post now?).

A few Google searches later and I’m up to date :-))

What I find most disturbing is the timing, Mel Gibson is in talks with ABC TV to do a mini series on the Holocaust!! What was he thinking going off like that!!

Gibson, who starred in the “Lethal Weapon” movies and directed “The Passion of the Christ” and “Braveheart,” was stopped by L.A. County sheriff’s deputies in Malibu about 2:30 a.m (July 28th 2006). He was cited and released on $5,000 bond, said sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.

A deputy stopped the actor after observing him driving his Lexus at a high rate of speed on Pacific Coast Highway, Whitmore said. The deputy arrested him “on suspicion of driving under the influence after administering a field sobriety test,” Whitmore said.

Later it was released Gibson had made anti-Semitic remarks to the arresting officer and this was recorded for the world to sneer at later.

So basically he’s a drunk driver (0.12 blood alcohol level, California’s legal limit is 0.08 percent), could be argued resisting arrest, he ran to his car from the deputy and hates Jews! Wouldn’t you just loved to be driving by with Mel Gibson running from a deputy, you’d think you stumbled on the set of the next Lethal Weapon film

This is what Mel Gibson’s anti-Semitic remarks are-

“FUCKING Jews… The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.” Gibson also asked the deputy, “Are you a Jew?”

Gibson has apologized and claimed he “said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable.”

I agree with one thing Mel Gibson said, it’s “despicable”. What does this say about the man!
