I have attended so many weddings I loose track of who is getting married next! It’s like that when you run a wedding planner business :)

Seriously though, I’ve attended a LOT of weddings and there’s nothing more embarrassing than one of the toast or speech makers giving a terrible wedding speech or toast: it happens way too often, almost everyone believes they are funny and can write a funny wedding speech.

Well I’m sorry, but the vast majority of brides, grooms, best men, maid of honors, father of the bride and of course the ever present mother of the bride haven’t a clue how to write a good quality wedding speech or wedding toast!

I’ve run a wedding planner business for almost three years now (before that worked with another wedding planner for 5 years) and for the first year in business I didn’t really interfere with the wedding speech/wedding toast part of the planning, mainly because I’m not that good at writing wedding speeches myself and my previous boss also didn’t cover the speeches/toasts!

After a year of hearing poorly written wedding speeches enough was enough, so I went looking for wedding speech and toasts resources. I found plenty of wedding speech resources online, some free, some not, but most wasn’t consistently good.

I’ve bought over 50 how to write a wedding speech/toasts and similar books to try to help my clients and the best by far is from Wedding Speech 4U.

Wedding Speech 4U offers the following books:

Mother of the bride speeches: Words of Love!
Father of the bride speeches: How to be Witty and Well Prepared!

Maid of honor speeches: Your Complete ‘How to’ Guide!
Best man speeches: Be Fearless, Funny and Flawless!

Bride speeches: Beautiful Words for a Beautiful Occasion!
Groom Speeches: Say the Right Words at the Right Time!

I’ve bought them all to use with my wedding planner business and for an extra fee help brides, grooms, mothers, fathers, best men and maids of honor prepare their wedding speeches.

For two years I’ve used these wedding speech books to help hundreds of clients prepare their wedding speeches and toasts with around 95% of them have gone down well at the wedding.

I can not recommend the wedding speech books at Wedding Speech 4U. more strongly.

Janet Simmons: Wedding Planner

PS if you can not afford a good wedding planner like yours truly :) , there’s a book I bought called Amazing Wedding Planning which is better than stumbling through your plans on your own. Obviously not as good as hiring a good wedding planer, but if your budget is real tight and you have good organisational skills…
